New Testament in Russian
Acclaimed Books has already printed 800,000 Russian New Testaments.

Look at the calendar on your wall.  Year of 2000 means it is 2000 years since the birth of Christ. Everybody in the West knows that the calendar started over with the birth of Christ.

Not the same with Russians.

The Soviet Government replaced this symbol of appreciation . Instead of "AC" (which can be read "After Christ") they came up with a simple name "Our Epoch". Everything that happened before Christ, they call "Before Our Epoch".

The Russian New Testaments, printed for prisoners and prison officials of Russia, raises to the prison officials very simple questions: What do I know about the Person after whose birth the major civilizations of the world began their year-counting? Why is the name of Jesus still on the lips of people all over the world after almost two thousand years? Why is the Bible such a famous and popular book in the world after two millenniums?

The Bible was rejected by the Soviet government. Truly, it was the number one subject, but it was forbidden as a number one subject.

Acclaimed Books, division of the International Prison Ministry, made this book available for a million prisoners and prison officials in the former Soviet Union.

Now Acclaimed Books invites everybody in Russia to open this book and find these important answers for themselves.

Just listen to the translation of the Russian invitation to read the New Testament:

"The Gospels were written by Apostles Matthew and John and by Mark and Luke, with the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. That's why these timeless books are full of the Holy Spirit. Open the New Testament; turn a couple of pages. The reading of God's Word will enlighten you. The Holy Spirit will fill you up and will change you forever."
